Through the course of writing, refining, and recording their debut full-length album, “Another One Gained,” Katy Guillen & The Drive delved into the catharsis of a bittersweet moment in time. Recorded with Kevin Ratterman (My Morning Jacket, Heartless Bastards) at Invisible Creature Studio in Los Angeles, the 10-track effort was met with high praise upon its August 2022 release. Accompanied by drummer Stephanie Williams’ melodically exacting rhythms, Guillen’s emotive guitar playing aligns with her lyrics to meet at the crossroads of suffering and silver linings.
