The Pink Flamingos began with the idea to form a rockabilly band. But as the group began creating music, it became quickly apparent that this was not rockabilly. What it actually is, now that’s a little more difficult to pin down. Drawing on influence from the popular music of the mid-20th Century to the alt-country of late, The Pink Flamingos take you to a place that is at once both strangely familiar and like nowhere you’ve ever been. The band’s debut album, “Summer Wish Book”, delivers sun-soaked, stripped-down harmonies, heartbreak, tears, and twang.
