The latest album from The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band was written by candlelight and then recorded using the best technology available . . . in the 1950s!

Producer Vance Powell (four-time Grammy Award winner whose resume includes Chris Stapleton and Jack White) suggested Peyton turn back the clock and record no more than eight tracks of audio to *analog tape*. Peyton embraced Powell’s suggestion and minimal overdubs are heard on “Dance Songs for Hard Times” with Peyton singing while playing guitar live in the studio!

“Dance Songs for Hard Times” lives up to its name by delivering action-packed riffs and rhythms across 11 songs and is critically acclaimed by Rolling Stone, Relix, Popmatters, Guitar World, American Songwriter, No Depression, Glide, Wide Open Country, Paste, American Blues Scene and many more. The country blues trio that won over crowds on more than one Warped Tour knows how to make an audience move! The energy is on full display in the psychedelic video for “Ways and Means”.  “I got all the ways I just ain’t got the means!”
