Their debut album— DUST— confirms Balla as a new voice in experimental pop. At a time trending toward AI gloss, Balla employs the dadaist tradition of random chance to incorporate human imperfection and unpredictability into his work. The result? Songs that live and breathe, marked with the fingerprints of process and shaped by emotional undercurrents that flow beneath a calm surface.

LUCY's captivating live performance has earned him a cult following on the DIY circuit, playing shows in basements and warehouses across the country. His music is experimental and raw – at times even abrasive. His GarageBand-based production has never swayed far from the sample packs and synth sounds he started writing music with 14 years ago.
Graham Hunt can’t stop making records. Since 2019, the Madison, WI-based songwriter has been amassing a dense catalog of singular music at a pace rivaled only by the quality of the output itself. Now already on his sixth album, American Pyramid, Hunt pushed himself out of his comfort zones, eschewing the homespun, computer-oriented explorations of his previous work and instead entering Minnesota's legendary Pachyderm Studio with an eight-piece band to try and capture a different side of his boundless creativity. The result is an album that stretches out musically and lyrically, with Hunt using his surrealist spin to dissect both the traditions of American indie rock as well as the unnerving detachment of the American experience itself. American Pyramid arrives barely a year after Hunt’s 2025 album, Timeless World Forever, the final release in a trilogy of records and a capstone on a significant part of his life. “I knew I was going to be moving from this house where the home studio is, so I gave myself the limitation of making those three albums that specific way, and then I knew I’d do something different,” he explains. “Part of me felt like I could live in that house and make an infinite amount of records there with the same process forever, but for a long time I’d also had this vision for tracking an album live with a band in a studio–I knew that’s how I wanted to make the next record even before I wrote any songs for it.” Hunt’s innate creative restlessness has always served him well but it wasn’t enough to simply record the songs with a group rather than alone: he even self-imposed limitations on the writing process itself, choosing to avoid demoing on the computer or even fleshing out the songs beyond simple iphone voice memos. “I wanted to keep it to just chords and melody and then figure out the rest with a group of people in a live room studio setting, I just hadn't done it like that in a very long time.” And this would be no ordinary live band, instead a group of eight fellow multi-instrumentalists, each an impressive creative in their own right, all assembled to help Hunt see his vision through. “I was thinking about all the people who have played in my band in all its different iterations over the years, and I just wanted to try and get as many of them involved as possible,” he explains. “We only did two rehearsals before we went into the studio and everyone ended up swapping instruments and changing roles throughout recording. That sort of helped to recreate some of the feeling of what I do when I’m making music with the computer, but executed with a full band.” --- Minneapolis’ Prize Horse make “a fuzzy, dreamy form of alt-rock that manages to be heavy and spaced-out at the same time” (Stereogum). The trio’s debut album, Under Sound, embarks their musical evolution which takes flight with ethereal, fuzz-laden tones departing from the grittier layers of their previous 2021 Welder EP.

Formed in 1986, Exhorder’s journey has proven exciting, yet tumultuous. Fraught with euphoric peaks and crippling valleys throughout its existence, the band debuted that summer with the do-it-yourself demo recording, “Get Rude”. Swiftly building a strong local following in the New Orleans punk rock scene, Exhorder entered a legitimate 24 track studio in 1987 and crafted their controversial classic demo, “Slaughter In The Vatican”. However, as fate would have it, the band broke up for the first time in early 1988 due to internal struggles. A reformation ensued later that year, and Exhorder set out once again to pursue its vision. The band soon signed with Mean Machine Records, but the label dissolved before the band’s debut could be completed. Following a series of lineup shifts, a second full-length entitled “The Law”, and multiple hiatuses, the band finally relaunched itself in 2017. In the years that followed the relaunch of the band, Exhorder has toured extensively in both the United States and Europe. The reputation the band has carried as a force onstage continues to grow. With a new release in association with Nuclear Blast completed and was released in 2024, Exhorder are plotting another busy year performing worldwide.https://www.exhorder.com/ No/Más - hardcore / crust / grindcore from DC Phantom (Phantom G.D.L) is a young band from Guadalajara, Mexico, that has quickly established itself as one of the most solid and promising acts in Latin American metal.
Letdown. is ready to embrace the positive. The Texas-born, Nashville-based alt-rocker, singer, and multi-instrumentalist has tackled a slew of personal demons—many of which turned up on his catharsis-packed debut EP, 2023’s Crying In The Shower—in order to come out on the other side, stronger than ever. The prolific artist’s latest batch of songs, which he is constantly churning out as a therapeutic way to process daily life, are upbeat, hook-packed anthems that invite audiences to shout along in unison. “I think I'm at the end of writing about my problems,” Coddington muses. “I've been putting myself through emotional music therapy for three years now, and it's working. I'm finally looking back and laughing for the first time. I consider it the upswing of the depression. I'm about to enter this whole new phase in my life. Everything feels new again for the first time.” Ever since he first began releasing music in 2020, Letdown. (real name Blake Coddington) has poured his soul into crafting soaring rock anthems that vulnerably chronicle his mental health journey and sonically intersect with punk/emo, electronic, and pop. Posting a series of unguarded videos to TikTok, Letdown. has seen his following grow to more than 675K, nearly 1M monthly listeners on Spotify, and over 100K on Instagram—not even counting the 200M total streams his songs have earned. This growing popularity has led to extensive nationwide and European touring, allowing Letdown. to connect with fans across the globe. “That's the greatest part of this,” Coddington says of his more buoyant direction. “We're all dancing around the studio. It's the most natural writing I've ever done…” The song “Hate Myself”—his collaboration with producer Carlo—became his second Top 25 single at Alternative radio, signaling his rising profile and the impact of his emotionally honest songwriting. He continues to unpack tough emotions in tracks like: “Be Ok” (featuring LØLØ) – written near the end of a serious, unhealthy relationship. “Dead Right” – a fun, catchy tune created without overthinking. “Crying In The Shower” – a Top 20 hit detailing heartbreak, fleeting highs, and emotional numbness. “Go To Hell” – a defiant, crowd-moving anthem about the painful complexity of leaving an abusive partner. “Young Broke (2025)” – a self-reflecting song about the reality of his life, and his future If anything unites Letdown.’s debut album, it’s his ability to mix audible joy with emotional darkness, creating cathartic, uplifting music that turns hardship into healing. “The music I'm writing currently has been a lot more fun than it ever has been, and a lot less depressing. This is what's been handed to me—now I'm gonna have to make something awesome.”

Patrick Wolf released his first E.P. at the age of 19, a groundbreaking debut of classical, folk, and electronic music that set the pace for a stellar decade, releasing seven self-produced and solely written albums and performing multiple laps around the globe on tour, amassing an ever-growing and dedicated, spellbound audience. A viola, piano, dulcimer, harp, lyre, and tenor guitar player, Patrick’s decade of critically acclaimed work, touring, joining Patti Smith's band, collaborations with Florence Welch, Marianne Faithful, Angelo Badalamenti, and rapid, stellar ascent led to a sudden retreat from the industry where a decade of personal trial ended with a renaissance and reconnection with his work and vocation, documented in a feature film biopic documentary slated for release at the end of this year, executive produced by Tilda Swinton. Last year, he released his seventh album “Crying the Neck”, an end-of-summer folkloric odyssey set in the landscape at the end of the East of England where Wolf lives and works. The album’s success brought him back to his North American audiences; for his first tour in over 13 years, he embarked on a ten-week tour driving himself from east to west coast, where he discovered not only his fanbase had been waiting all that time, but a brand new one had grown in his absence in the States. The success of last year's tour brings Patrick back to North America this year with “The Tour of the Beast”, this time an extensive East to West coast and back again routing with a coinciding 7” single and release campaign, launching two new songs to the States and ringing in the next era of Patrick Wolf. The first, a bombastic harpsichord banger and outsider anthem “The Beast”, partly inspired by conversations had in the meet-and-greets of last year’s tour and a hymn of solace, initially written as a response to Camus's "The Myth of Sisyphus”, a lyre and vocal lullaby called “The Laughing Dove”.

Digable Planets burst onto the music scene in 1993 with their Grammy-winning single, “Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like Dat).” Made up of Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler, Craig “Doodlebug” Irving, and Mary Ann “Ladybug Mecca” Vieira, the pioneering trio carved out a uniquely appealing style of jazz-informed hip hop that catapulted their first single to the 15th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Shortly after, Digable Planets followed up with their debut album, Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time And Space), an ambitious offering that Pitchfork praised as “a world within a world, complete with its own language and monuments.” Melding jazz samples, and complex rhymes that touched on everything from the nuances of city life ("Where I’m From") to abortion rights ("La Femme Fetal"), Reachin’ was a rich and vibrant artistic statement as well as a huge commercial success (RIAA certified gold). The group celebrated the 30th anniversary of Reachin’ in 2023. Digable Planets quickly followed up in 1994 with Blowout Comb, a bold and colorful meditation on Black liberation. While the album did not initially attain the immediate commercial successes of Reachin’, the 13-track sophomore opus has gone on to age beautifully, influencing future generations of hip hop heads, young jazz musicians, and Afrofuturists. In celebration of the three decades passed since the release of the landmark second album, Digable Planets, once again, takes their full five-piece band on the road for the Blowout Comb 30th Anniversary Tour, now touching North American cities from coast to coast. "Together, we're able to take all of the music, which is, you know, a bunch of disparate samples from here and there, and really represent that era of music in an updated way with one foot in the past, but another foot firmly with a sneaker on sprinting into the future with a lot of new sounds and a lot of new concepts," said Digable Planets founder Butterfly.

Formed in late 2015, mr.phylzzz (pronounced mr. flyzzz) has spent the last decade mutating, evolving, and cementing their reputation as one of the most blistering, uncompromising forces in modern noise rock. What began as a raw, multi-instrumental project has sharpened into a lean, mean, two-piece wall of sound consisting of Clinton Jacob (guitar/vocals) and Danny Sein (drums). Now anchored in the gritty musical landscape of Chicago, the duo crafts a chaotic, high-velocity sonic assault that balances punishing, heavy riffs with an undeniable knack for twisted, melodic hooks. The band’s rapid, jagged trajectory quickly caught the ear of Tom Hazelmyer, founder of the legendary underground imprint Amphetamine Reptile Records (AmRep). A badge of honor for any band pushing the boundaries of aggressive music, mr.phylzzz made their label debut on the prestigious Dope Guns ’N Fucking in the Streets Vol. 14 compilation. They followed that up with their first proper full-length album, Penitent Curtis, in 2019—a record that laid the groundwork for their signature blend of cranked amps, driving percussion, and volatile vocal delivery. When the pandemic brought the world to a standstill, the project underwent a metamorphosis. Operating in isolation, Jacob continued to write at a feverish pace. As restrictions lifted, a relocation to Chicago sparked a powerful new chemistry with the addition of drummer Danny Sein. The resulting synergy produced 2022's Cancel Culture Club, a critically acclaimed record that showcased a tighter, more furious version of the band. The album drew well-deserved attention from noise rock royalty, featuring guest appearances from the Melvins' King Buzzo and Kevin Rutmanis. Refusing to let off the gas, mr.phylzzz returned to the studio to track their next chapter, 2023's Fat Chance. Captured in a rapid-fire, four-day session at Chicago’s iconic Electrical Audio, the album perfectly bottles the raw, frantic energy of their live performances. The songs are dense, blown-out, and hyper-focused, earning praise across the underground for keeping the historic flame of midwestern noise rock burning bright. While their records are masterclasses in controlled chaos, the stage is where mr.phylzzz truly becomes a monster. Renowned for their furious, tight, and unpredictable live sets, the band spent a grueling autumn tearing across North America as the main opening act for the monumental Melvins and Boris "Twins of Evil" tour. Playing to packed rooms and massive crowds night after night, the duo proved that two people can create an atmosphere just as heavy, loud, and mesmerizing as a five-piece band. Today, mr.phylzzz remains a relentless touring machine and a staple of the underground circuit, constantly writing, traveling, and pushing their gear to the absolute limit. They are modern torchbearers of heavy music—chaotic, cathartic, and entirely on their own terms.

Improvement Movement, the social betterment campaign/prog-rock quartet/non-denominational cult from Atlanta, GA, have made a new record just for you and your modern day malaise. It’s called Your Perfect Real Life, because, well, there’s a lot going right these days, right? Arriving August 21, 2026 via ATO Records, Your Perfect Real Life is prismatic, angular, jumpy, and eccentric. It’s sure to inundate your ears, corporeal form, and spiritual body with equal parts unadulterated bliss and realist catharsis, or, in other words, as much good as you can reasonably feel these days. Set in a world of chaos where the news seems to be perpetually recounting stories of planes falling out of the sky, urban wildfires, the uncanny nature of a southern snowfall, and schlepping ads that feel plucked from a sci-fi movie, Your Perfect Real Life makes an earnest case for embracing life’s relentless unpredictability. Animated by the band’s baroque take on the angular harmonies of grunge, the record’s eleven tracks sprawl and simmer, enlivened by the Improvement Movement’s novel employment of dynamics, sticky melodies, four-part harmony, and a treasure trove of experimental instruments. If you’ve ever found yourself enraptured by the lush harmonies of Fleet Foxes, the theatrics of early Genesis tracks, or the candid intimacy of Art Garfunkel, Improvement Movement may be for you. Improvement Movement is a democracy, and so they say, “things move slow.” That may be true for the internal machinations of the band, but their output has been quite regular. Each member of the band, who have largely been eschewing definition, are songwriters and instrumentalists who have spent the better part of a decade in the fertile DIY scene in Atlanta, GA. In that time they’ve been swirling, relatively undisrupted, in their own primordial ooze and rubbing elbows with folks from the no wave, punk, improv, and free jazz scenes. “Atlanta is about as DIY as it gets,” they say. “We’ve got some of the most killing musicians in the world all spread out on these kinds of islands of urbanization. There’s always something new.” That said, the band hasn’t been in Atlanta much lately; they were on the road relentlessly over the last two years, supporting Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Iron & Wine, Houndmouth, and Khurangbin. When it came to making a new record, the slog of touring had to be reckoned with. “It was a gauntlet, trying to live day by day. There was no room for anything with too much premeditation.” “We all have a disposition where we’d like to be positive,” they say, noting how their 2024 sophomore pursuit Slump focused in on the minutiae of personal friendships, relationships, and the noble pursuit of right relation. Your Perfect Real Life takes a wider view, reflecting on timely yet universal themes of mundanity, futility, fear, and acceptance. The band took a uniquely holistic approach to composing its songs, describing how they sought to write from their instruments in a way that could reflect the synergy they found playing live night after night. The collective effervescence of sharing and making art in community is one of the most life-affirming experiences we have. It makes sense that a band set on bridging our brutal realities and the catharsis of art-making is so plugged into that source. With Improvement Movement in our ears, we may as well keep pushing that rock up the hill, singing in unison. Don’t delay, join today!

Hot Freaks formed in Minneapolis in the early 2010s, releasing their self-titled debut LP in 2013—a collection of bright, danceable indie-pop tracks with a glossy disco sheen and disarmingly vulnerable lyrics. Blending the emotional openness of of Montreal and Voxtrot with flashes of MGMT’s playful charisma, the record captured the band’s tight-knit chemistry and earned them a loyal following in the Minneapolis scene. Though they rarely toured beyond the Midwest, the group—made up of longtime friends whose relationships stretched back over a decade—became a beloved local staple before amicably disbanding in 2015 as members moved on to new chapters. Years later, the internet gave Hot Freaks a second life. During the pandemic, their 2013 single “PUPPY PRINCESS” unexpectedly went viral on TikTok, introducing the band’s heartfelt, humor-tinged indie pop to a new global audience.
For the past 25 years, Queens-based Bayside has represented a lifestyle, a counterculture, and a deeply-held commitment to integrity and earnestness. At their core, Bayside is a band that has constantly proven that music is not about gimmicks and ephemeral trends, but a timeless reflection of our life and our times. It is through this authentic expression and creative spirit that the band has amassed a cult-following that lives and breathes everything the band creates. It’s a spirit that permeates an impressive and storied discography, including Sirens and Condolences (2004), Bayside (2005), The Walking Wounded (2007) and Shudder (2008). Covering the “Victory Records Years,” Bayside grew their reputation as road warriors with their impressive amount of touring. From basements to clubs to Warped Tour, the band led melodious sing-alongs everywhere they went, with fans flocking to Anthony Raneri’s personal, yet universal lyrics and story-telling. Fan favorites like “Devotion and Desire” and “Duality” continue to be staples in the bands’ live show. While the band held strong to their punk roots, what set them apart from their peers was their musicianship. Diverse in thought and background, but united in a shared desire for authentic expression and immense musical talent, Bayside continues to push the boundaries of what a Bayside song could be. In the second half of their legendary career, covering the “Wind-Up and Hopeless Records Years,” Bayside embraced the heavier and grittier side of themselves, while keeping the anthemic choruses of the earlier years. With Killing Time (2011), Cult (2014), Vacancy (2016), Interrobang (2019), and There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive (2024), the band focused on creating songs that are relevant to people who want substance, rather than being relegated to one genre. In 2023, the band even collaborated with Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills on their rock anthem, “How To Ruin Everything (Patience)” - their first song charting at Sirius XM Octane. Having toured the world multiple times over, sold thousands of albums, and amassed millions of streams, Bayside has achieved a lot in their storied career. And while many bands would coast on their past success, Bayside has always rejected that premise and continues to prove time and again that the best is yet to come.

Formed in 2019 by vocalist Jackson Davenport, VOID is a haunted, technically sharp thrash/heavy metal force rising out of Lafayette, Louisiana. Blending razor-edged aggression with an eerie atmosphere, VOID stands at the crossroads of classic thrash intensity and dark, theatrical heavy metal. The band made its first major statement with their debut album Horrors of Reality in early 2023. The record introduced VOID’s uncompromising sound—fast, intricate riffing, commanding vocals, and a sinister edge—and was followed by a relentless stretch of touring that hardened the band on the road and built a growing underground following. That momentum led to VOID racking their first record deal, and the band then focused their efforts on crafting their most ambitious work to date: Forbidden Morals, a full-length concept album centered on a lost traveler’s descent into the castle of Vlad the Impaler. Dark, cinematic, and technically ferocious, the album marked a turning point for the band—putting VOID firmly on the map and opening the door to larger tours and wider recognition. Following the release of Forbidden Morals, VOID signed with Metal Blade Records to further carve their path in stone as one of the most compelling new voices in modern traditional metal.https://voidthrash.bandcamp.com/Phantom (Phantom G.D.L) is a young band from Guadalajara, Mexico, that has quickly established itself as one of the most solid and promising acts in Latin American metal.
Hailing from Long Island, New York, Macseal has built a reputation for making expertly crafted indie rock that bridges the gap between emo and power-pop, resulting in a coffee-fueled 2000s coming-of-age sound that energizes audiences, encouraging them to crowd surf and nod along. In 2024, Macseal followed up their debut album ‘Super Enthusiast’ (2019) with ‘Permanent Repeat,’ an album that served as an outlet for the band to emotionally and musically reflect on their lives at their own pace. On ‘Permanent Repeat,’ Macseal pairs the sound of early 2000s pop rock with more modern twists and turns, condensing big themes such as longing, existential dread, and falling in love into moments that can be played on a loop. Playing songs from across their discography, Macseal’s Audiotree Live performance illustrates the evolution of their sound, combining layered math-rock elements with emo vulnerability to create accessible, feel-good tracks.
“This whole album is almost like my fight against loneliness,” says Nicole Atkins of her latest release, Drama. “A lot of the songs came out of the fact that my husband and I basically have a long distance relationship. We're both on the road. He's a tour manager. I'm an artist. We can be apart for months at a time.” Those feelings of isolation and separation, complicated by sleep problems and some career uncertainty, left Atkins feeling overwhelmed at times. “I had to write myself through a lot.” As the material started to take shape, she felt like she was “building a life raft,” and not only for herself. “With everything going on in the world, it's easy to forget that we're all the same,” she says. “We're being disconnected and pulled apart. We're longing for connection. That's what I want to write and sing about, and hopefully by doing that, make people feel a little less lonely.” The life rafts on Drama are sturdy, with smart design and a buoyancy that's a tonic for our times. The Spectorized girl group rush of “Trippin' On Teardrops,” the pulsing Memphis soul-styled “For No One,” the James Bond-meets-Stevie Nicks noir of “Danny,” and the ABBA-worthy, anthemic “Singing In The Mirror.” As always when dissecting Atkins' neo-classic sound, it's fun to play with mash-up descriptions – even she offers her own colorful takes - “What if Brian Eno, Scott Walker and Lee Hazlewood were all partying?” and “It's like a Broadway show playing on a dive bar stage." Her journey began in Neptune City, New Jersey, where she developed her taste and sensibility early. “There's a poetic isolation at the Jersey shore,” she says. “All the tourists leave, and you're stuck with this really gloomy, but beautiful place, and nothing to do. Also, there were all these summertime musicians who'd play every night on the beach. I grew up thinking that was a normal job.” Raiding the record collections of her parents and grandparents drew her to dramatic singers from Candi Staton to Roy Orbison. When she found an old acoustic guitar in the attic of her uncle's house, her course was set. “Actually, I either wanted to be a rock star or a professional wrestler,” Atkins says, with a laugh. It had been six years since her last, Italian Ice, and Atkins admits she had some self-doubt. Enter another Nashville pal, Patrick Sansone. The producer and Wilco multi-instrumentalist proved to be the perfect foil for Drama. “Pat knows so much about that chamber pop style of music, and that's my North Star and home base,” Atkins says. “I write like I write - sometimes it sounds '80s, sometimes it sounds '60s, sometimes it sounds '50s. And Pat always gets it. He was able to help me sprinkle that baroque sound throughout the whole record, so it all made sense together.” And as on previous albums, she ups the ante by aiming to “write modern songs that could be part of the Great American Songbook.” But in her own way. “I'm not trying to rehash or celebrate some bygone era,” she says. “I'm just taking what I like melodically from the past, and channeling it into my songs. I like to make them deeply personal. The question I come back to is - how do I make this sound exactly like me?” Drama sounds exactly like Nicole Atkins.

The Obsessed is a rock band. A FU*KING HARD rock band. Since their formation in 1978, they became known around the world for their influential contribution to the origins and continued legacy of the doom metal and underground hard rock genres. The distinctive vocals and guitar wizardry of founder and driving force Scott “Wino” Weinrich has left a mark on the world of heavy music that continues to inspire. The Obsessed gained momentum in the Baltimore/DC area of the USA in the early to mid 1980’s during the height of the hardcore punk movement. Often cited as the band that bridged heavy metal and punk together, the band gained the respect of punk heavy weight contemporaries Black Flag, The Bad Brains, and Minor Threat, to name a few. The attitude and spirit of The Obsessed has led many to regard them as “America’s Motorhead”. Wino went on to join the doom metal giants Saint Vitus as lead singer on seminal albums including 1986’s ‘Born Too Late'‘. In 1990, The Obsessed came back with their eponymous debut album, “The Obsessed”. This album was quickly followed by 1991’s “Lunar Womb” and 1994’s "The Church within. The band then signed with Relapse Records and recorded 2017’s “Sacred”, an album showing The Obsessed were back with pure vengeance. Sacred brought the band to venues and festival stages around the world. In 2022 the band became a four piece with the addition of Chris Angleberger on bass and Jason Taylor on guitar. The band has been touring heavily since and have been seen on USA and European festival stages such as HellFest, Freak Valley Festival, Snowblind Festival and multiple DesertFests. The band’s 2024 album, Gilded Sorrow, on Ripple Music, marked a new chapter in their legacy. The album captures the essence of the band’s classic sound while adding a fresh new atmosphere with a dual guitar attack. In 2025, Bob Pantella (The Atomic Bitchwax, Monster Magnet, Raging Slab) joined The Obsessed on drums. To quote Wino, "This is the strongest The Obsessed has ever been. We are geared up and ready to play. We will be hitting your city soon!"https://www.instagram.com/theobsessedofficial/Hippie Death Cult - Hippie Death Cult's journey through shameless and triumphant artistic expression has led them to become a vibrant force within the realms of psychedelia and riff-heavy rock n' roll.
The Velveteers bring a visceral energy to their explosive sophomore album, A Million Knives, loaded with blistering rock anthems infused with melodic indie songwriting. With GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Dan Auerbach at the helm, the Boulder, CO trio encapsulates the raw, forceful, and profoundly heavy power of their live performances and laser-focuses a spotlight on tightly crafted songs as they carve out their own distinctive niche. Driving The Velveteers is the commanding presence of frontwoman Demi Demitro, a no-bullshit, five-foot-something spitfire with thunderous guitar riffs and soaring vocals, backed by her incendiary double drum duo. The band's signature dual drum setup creates a thunderous foundation that propels their gritty, dynamic garage rock sound. On A Million Knives, this setup melds seamlessly with a more modern indie rock influence–the attitude of Wolf Alice, the colossal sound of Queens of the Stone Age, and the singular lyrical voice of Hole. The Velveteers have built a dedicated following through relentless touring and electrifying performances, sharing stages with renowned acts such as Smashing Pumpkins, The Black Keys, Greta Van Fleet, Guns N' Roses, and Des Rocs.
For nearly two decades, Fruition have built their genre-bending version of American roots music around harmony — not just the vocal interplay of the band’s three songwriters, but the deeper harmony created between five friends who’ve spent years on the road together. On their eighth album, Something More, those bonds grow into something more collaborative than ever before. Produced by Grammy winner Tucker Martine, Something More finds Fruition stepping into an era defined as much by exploration as craft. Fueled by melody-driven songwriting, analog tones, and atmospheric textures, the album expands the band’s melting pot of rock, folk, pop, soul, and Americana into something more expansive and fully realized. Much of the songwriting emerged from collaborative sessions between Jay Cobb Anderson, Kellen Asebroek, and Mimi Naja, adding a shared perspective to songs rooted in reflection, uncertainty, acceptance, and growth. “This record is us trusting each other more than we ever have — as humans and as musicians,” says Anderson. “It’s the sound of us leaning into each other.” From the street corners of the Pacific Northwest to stages like Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Great American Music Hall, Fruition have grown their career night by night and song by song. Something More feels like the next chapter: a collection of lessons absorbed, trust deepened, and a band fully embracing what they’ve become.

Since their inception in 2015, Giovannie and The Hired Guns have made a blockbuster career out of wildly defying expectations. With a visceral sound that merges alt-metal, Red Dirt country, Latin pop, Americana, and much more, the Stephenville, Texas-based five piece have ascended from playing local honky-tonks to taking the stage at major festivals and arenas across the country, drawing an ardent crowd ranging from cowboys to metalheads to skate punks. As they continue their colossal rise—a journey that’s included scoring a No. 1 radio hit with their smash single “Ramon Ayala” and winning the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Award for Best New Artist in Alternative & Rock—Giovannie and The Hired Guns now return with their new album Quitter: a body of work that pushes the boundaries with even more intensity, matching its explosive riVs and unforgettable hooks with the band’s most brutally honest songwriting to date. Produced by Johnny K (Megadeth, Sevendust, Plain White T’s), Quitter marks the fourth full length from Giovannie and The Hired Guns (frontman Giovannie Yanez, guitarists Carlos Villa and Jerrod Flusche, bassist/tuba player Alex Trejo, and drummer/pianist Milton Toles) and second LP since signing with Warner Music Nashville through a first-of-its-kind partnership with Warner Music Latina. While the band have always brought a powerful emotionality to their lyrics, the album embodies an unfiltered urgency that has much to do with Yanez’s processing a number of life-altering troubles in real-time, including the death of a close friend and his own relapse into addiction. The follow-up to 2022’s Tejano Punk Boyz, Quitter finds Giovannie and The Hired Guns doubling down on the freewheeling attitude they first embraced in their earliest days as a band, back when Yanez was working the counter at a nearby pawnshop. “From the beginning I told the guys not to worry about sounding too rock or too country on this record,” Yanez recalls. “We just went in there and had fun and didn’t let anything hold us back, and because of that the album shows the full range of what we can do as a band.” Immediately delivering on that promise, Quitter opens on the galvanizing rhythms and throat-shredding vocals of “Cheap Tequila”: a ferocious yet fun-loving track that speaks an unvarnished truth about their shared life experience. “I wrote that song thinking about us in our younger days, when we were all broke and working these mid-paying jobs,” says Yanez. Looking back on the making of Giovannie and The Hired Guns’ most personal album yet, Yanez reveals that Quitter helped to clarify his overall mission and vision for the band. “This record made me want to keep putting out songs that are fun and serious at the same time,” he says. “I want to show everyone that it’s okay to feel sad and out of place, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time—it’s all a part of being human. We just want to be real with our fans and let them know we’re all diVerent and a little oV-the-wall too. And when they come out to the shows, I try to make them feel like they’re just as much a part of the band as my guys are. We’re all connected, and without them we’d never be where we are now.”

The Iron Roses - The Iron Roses are a passionate, unique, and beautiful group of people making music that we hope will change the world. Fueled by the injustices of our current times - their songs are the kind of protest anthems that only a group of seasoned musicians could make. Still angry, still driven, and still screaming – this is a band that will never give up the fight. It takes serious talent to write and sing songs that sound angry while the music lifts your spirits. So much of political punk is abrasive and unpleasant. No hooks. No melodies. But other times the words sound incongruent with emotionless and insipid music. The Iron Roses manage something rare and commanding with music that lifts the heart coupled powerfully with lyrics that express fury and resentment of the current world. Punk as a genre has been so commodified and diluted over the last decades that it seems to be ever increasingly hard to find bands that resonate this way. Yes, we can discuss their pedigree, most notably their frontperson Nathan Gray (of Boysetsfire), and their relentless touring and political activism. But none of those things matter if the songs don’t connect with the listener. And this collection of songs are going to do just that. From the opening notes of the first song the cards are on the table. The objective is clear – The Iron Roses are putting to words and music all the thoughts you’ve had these last few dark years. With the worldwide political climate leaning further and further from the left. With rights for many being limited and destroyed. With no end in sight. We need bands like The Iron Roses giving us a soundtrack to fight. Songs to pour our anger and frustration into when we sing along - just as they did when they wrote and recorded them.https://www.instagram.com/theironroses/Rodeo Boys - punk / garage / grunge from Lansing, MIhttps://www.rodeoboysofficial.com/

Slamming down dolphin corpses at breakneck speeds, the duo, which is comprised of Tommy Meehan on guitar (Deaf Club, Cancer Christ, Sweatband Records, Cartoon Network) and Seth Carolina (Starcrawler), have constructed a fresh and mucousy new alien craft powered by tightly controlled noise-guitar, savage primal drum work, and gooped up vocal deliveries that might sound like a gaggle of frogs thrown into a garbage disposal (although the Squid boys wouldn’t recommend doing this). Conceptualized and formed in 2022, the band decided to fully utilize planet Earth’s viral slumber in order to gestate, write, and record 2 full length albums worth of material. Throughout the year, SQUID PISSER played a handful of shows in California and Nevada as a 2 piece as they continued the quest for further personnel and collaborators.
We like to believe our lives can be shaped into stories—clean arcs, legible meaning—but life refuses the outline. Instead, it moves bluntly and without apology, indifferent to our sense of order. Events pile up without resolution, momentum divorced from direction, motion confused for progress. Sometimes the only refuge left is the nowhere of our own minds. El Ten Eleven’s Nowhere Faster, the duo’s 16th release, was forged within that unease. Across eight tracks, it considers not just nothingness but velocity—the strange urgency that propels us forward even when the destination remains unclear. We are committed to acceleration, convinced speed itself might save us. The 33-minute album slows just long enough to pose the harder questions: what are we running from, and what do we think we can outrun? That tension appears even in the album’s artwork, once again created with longtime collaborator Rob Fleming. It depicts a classic liminal space: familiar, anonymous, quietly unsettling. A stained glass-colored building and a streetlamp blur at the edges, suggesting motion that feels less like escape than enclosure—the kind that traps rather than transports. Nowhere Faster emerged from Kristian Dunn and Tim Fogarty’s longest break from touring and recording in their 23 years together, though “break” is something of a misnomer. Dunn’s famously restless creative pace never slowed. Instead, he began writing for not one but two drummers, handing Fogarty one of the most demanding challenges of his career. The record also marks a first for the band, weaving real strings and piano throughout, deepening the palette of what is already one of their most layered works. The album’s titles and sounds draw from moments scattered across the band’s 23-year history. Opener “Uncanny Valley Girl” marks the return of long-retired effects like the delay pedal, stacking basslines into a dense, enveloping wall. It’s a clear-eyed take on AI-era paranoia, anchored by Fogarty’s steady rhythm—snare taut, cymbals gently alive—giving the sci-fi unease something solid to lean on. “Bjork’s Alarm Clock,” meanwhile, takes its title from an insult hurled at the band by a guitarist of a punk band on their first tour; you can almost hear Dunn and Fogarty’s quiet laughter beneath the buoyant bass and bow-scratched strings. Still, Nowhere Faster is not a retreat into nostalgia. El Ten Eleven remains invested in risk and reinvention. The record continues to center Fogarty’s propulsive drumming and Dunn’s bass-driven experimentation: the first four tracks (“side A”) feature electric bass, while the latter half (“side B”) shifts to acoustic bass processed through pedals, subtly altering the album’s emotional weight. “Last Night In The Kitchen” reaches for the slick, sleazy bombast of classic Bond themes, opening new corridors for Dunn’s ever-expanding musical ambitions. Ultimately, Nowhere Faster is an album about reckoning—about time, endurance, and the uncertainty of how long a band, or a life, can last. We are all fumbling toward finitude. The question is not whether we’ll arrive, but what we want to hear on the way there. What will we dance to as the ground begins to shift beneath us? If nothing else, it may sound something like Nowhere Faster.

Their music combines several genres, including hardcore punk, heavy metal, ska, reggae, funk, rock, and rhythm and blues. Consistent touring throughout the 1990s earned the band a reputation for high-energy live performances. Early career (1987–1994) The Urge was originally formed in 1987 by Webster Groves High School classmates Jeff Herschel (drums) and Karl Grable (bass), and Pat Malecek (guitar) of Saint Louis University High School. The band went through two singers before recruiting Steve Ewing for vocal duties in late 1987. Their first album was released on August 12, 1989, the cassette-only Bust Me Dat Forty, followed a year later by the LP Puttin' the Backbone Back on August 9, which featured the addition of saxophonist Jordan Chalden who joined the band at the end of 1989. After Herschel left the band in May 1994 and Malecek left a few months later to pursue other career paths, guitarist Jerry Jost and drummer John Pessoni, both from Christian Brothers College High School, who had previously played together in other bands including Life Without Wayne and The Stand, joined the lineup. Frequent touring with 311 increased the band's fan base. Success and first breakup (1995–2002) In 1995, the band independently released Receiving The Gift of Flavor. Regional radio play of songs "Brainless", "All Washed Up", and "Violent Opposition", as well as successful album sales, brought the band to the attention of Epic's Immortal imprint, which reissued the LP in 1996. After constant touring with the likes of labelmates Korn and Incubus, Master of Styles was released in 1998, containing the hit "Jump Right In" (featuring singer Nick Hexum of 311), as well as the singles "Closer" and "Straight to Hell". "Jump Right In" can be heard in an episode of MTV's Daria and MTV's The Real World. Following the release of Too Much Stereo in mid-2000, and contributing their song "It's My Turn to Fly" to the 2000 animated film Titan A.E., the band toured for nearly a year before calling it quits. In late December 2001, the band went their separate ways due to musical differences. Present On October 21, 2003, the band announced their reunion with their shows at The Pageant on December 23 and 25. The Urge later on played several reunion shows before they disbanded again in 2005. On July 15, 2011, The Urge confirmed that they would be reforming to write new music. Their new single "Say Yeah" debuted immediately following the announcement at Pop's live on the radio. Their first show back together was Pointfest 29. During the live radio interview, the band discussed with Donny Fandango that the new music will be entirely new material, and will not be the abandoned album "Escape From Boys Town" from 2001 (which they currently have no plans of resurrecting). The band released their seventh studio album, Galvanized on November 22, 2013. On October 1, 2018, Chris Pinkert reported that the St. Louis Blues had partnered with The Urge to create a new goal song for the team. The song, eventually titled "The Blues Have the Urge", was implemented for the start of the 2018–19 NHL season and was played following each Blues goal at home, immediately after organist Jeremy Boyer played the traditional organ rendition of "When The Blues Go Marching In". For home wins, the song is also played immediately following the final horn (replacing Blur's "Song 2"), followed by an instrumental version as the NHL Three Stars are announced.

Touting influences from established acts such as Linkin Park and Bring Me The Horizon, the group draws in listeners with riveting melodic choruses, hip-hop infused verses and bombastic EDM-style breakdowns. Even before they were Nevertel, they were just a bunch of childhood pals bonded by their shared love of music. “We’ve all been best friends since high school and have been in and out of bands together,” Jeremy explains. However, as often happens with school-aged friendships, they eventually drifted apart – until music intervened yet again. “It wasn’t until years later, after seeing Linkin Park at the 2014 Carnivores Tour, Raul called me and Alec about starting another band.” Though the trio is long past their high school days, they still bond over the interests they shared as kids. “What brought us together was our love for music and video games. We would play video games to stay close and keep in contact about the band. Music and gaming have been instrumental to our growth and bond as brothers.” Now, after two albums, two EPs, and a slew of singles out in the world, Nevertel has racked up over 60 million global streams to date (and over 900K a week) while fostering an online community of over 600K social media followers. A testament of their dedication to their craft and commitment to their fans, the band has performed at festivals like Welcome To Rockville, seen radio support from SiriusXM and earned recognition across all major DSPs, with a placement on Spotify’s All New Metal, Kickass Metal, and Hard Rock playlists. “Our mission is pretty simple: to make music that saves and inspires people to make great changes in their lives.” While they pour their hearts into their work, at the core of it all, they do it for the tight-knit group of childhood best friends they once were. “If we could inspire that same 13-year-old kid we once were to follow their dreams and chase their passions then I'd say our mission is being accomplished.”

Revocation creates extreme music for extreme times. On New Gods, New Masters, their fifth record for Metal Blade, the quartet--spearheaded by founder/vocalist/guitarist Dave Davidson--delivers nine potent and portentous songs of brutal lyrical and musical significance. Produced by Davidson mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (The Haunted, Spiritbox), tracks including "Cronenberged" (feat. Jonny Davy of Job for a Cowboy), "Sarcophagi of the Soul," "Confines of Infinity" (feat. Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation) and "Dystopian Vermin" thematically explore AI and its impact on humanity. "I've been very fascinated with the development of Artificial Intelligence, and I'm deeply concerned where this could lead humanity," says Davidson, "whether it's the slow march towards a technological dystopia or the all-out annihilation of our species." New Gods, New Masters marks the band's 20th anniversary. Revocation debuted with 2008's Empire of the Obscene and subsequently released seven critically acclaimed albums and toured over 25 countries, bringing their technically charged, high-energy extreme metal to North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. New Gods follows up 2022's Netherheaven, where Davidson's lyrics took hard looks at Catholicism, hypocrisy, politics, the occult and demonic symbolism. Critics raved about Netherheaven, calling it "Revocation's best record in a decade" and praising the "darkest, heaviest songs of their career." That album set a high bar, but an even sharper musical and lyrical focus was achieved on New Gods, New Masters, which is deftly captured in the album artwork by Paolo Girardi. "He did an incredible job of bringing the lyrical themes of a bleak techno-nightmare to life," Davidson says. "The 'New God' being birthed from the abyss of teeth and wires was even better than what I envisioned. I absolutely love the color palette he used. He even included some easter eggs from our first demo and first full-length album cover, which adds even more depth and meaning to the artwork for me." Titling the album New Gods, New Masters reflects his belief about humans' need to worship various gods. "It seems as if that desire is encoded in our DNA. As science and our understanding of nature and the universe as a whole, increases, the religions of the old gods start to become obsolete," believes Davidson. "However, I believe we've replaced our old gods with new ones, worshipping technology and creating a cult-like idolatry of innovators." Revocation, unafraid to upend musical and lyrical tropes with forward-thinking and sounding approach, with songs that excoriate society's addiction to phones ('Sarcophagi of the Soul") and animal experiments that illuminate/replicate societal issues ("Dystopian Vermin"), Davidson's science-backed observations all the more terrifying for their reality. If technological advances create worse problems alongside "solutions," Revocation forge ahead, four guys plugged in, fighting existential threats with metal, "waiting to see what the next trial of the human experiment brings." Music grounds and uplifts the band members-and fans. "I'm proud that I've been able to evolve as a musician and songwriter with every release. I never want to stagnate, and I think we've achieved real growth with every album," says Davidson. "I'm also extremely proud that I've been able to keep this band going after all these years; it's crazy to think of how far we've since the beginning."

In addition to touring internationally as a stand-up comedian, Deadline included Becky in their “The Future Of Funny: 15 Comedians To Watch In 2025.” She was previously named a JFL Montreal New Face of Comedy where her stand-out multi-character performance landed her a sketch show development deal and a number of voiceover jobs with DreamWorks, Nickelodeon and Netflix. In her explosive debut stand-up special, ENTITLED, Becky Robinson comes in hot with her signature high-energy comedy. She dives into the chaos of coming out as a lesbian during the pandemic, the pitfalls of being way too friendly as an adult, and her unapologetic love for Taco Bell. But the night wouldn't be complete without a full-blown appearance from her iconic character, the Entitled Housewife, who crashes the stage to dish about Trish, the gieurlz, Macabee, Dashell and, of course, SCOTT!!! In November, Robinson hosted her first She Gone Golfing: The Entitled Housewife Tulum Classic that took place at the PGA Riviera Maya and Conrad Tulum sponsored by PXG. Fans were able to escape to paradise with Becky Robinson/Entitled Housewife, for an exclusive Gieurlz getaway to Mexico. Fans had the opportunity to tee off with the Entitled Housewife on world-class greens, then raised a glass and belted out their favorite karaoke anthems in true Gieurlz fashion. All set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Mexico’s Maya Riviera. Becky is the voice of Parker J. Cloud, an exuberant former raincloud on a mission to brighten up everyone’s day, in Nickelodeon’s animated series Middlemost Post. She was also a season regular on MTV’s Wild ’N Out with Nick Cannon where she also put out a Wild ’N Out Stand Up Special. Other appearances include Netflix’s The G Word with Adam Conover. Hulu’s Coming to the Stage, MTV’s Acting Out, ABC’s The Bachelor and Kevin Hart’s sketch series Writer’s Room. As a writer, Becky has written for Comedy Central’s Not Safe, Snoop Dogg’s Joker’s Wild and FunnyOrDie.

After teasing fans on social media with ominous imagery, snippets of lush keyboard washes, and cryptic references to classic science fiction stories, the band that emerged over a decade ago out of Los Angeles returns with Syndicate, their fifth studio album (not even counting the three EPs released between) and their most ambitious and outward-looking work yet. Syndicate evolves The Midnight’s simultaneously retro and forward-looking sound while cementing the band’s status as perhaps the most musically and lyrically ambitious act to come out of the burgeoning synthwave scene. The band was born in spring 2012 from the fortuitous meeting of two very different musical sensibilities. Atlanta-born Lyle emerged from the folk-inflected Georgia music scene that grew up around the legendary Eddie’s Attic live music venue. “I came to LA thinking I was gonna be the next Mumford and Sons,” Lyle laughs, recalling how he was put together with Danish songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tim McEwan in what he calls “a songwriters’ blind date.” The two quickly discovered the overlap of their creative Venn diagram lay in the moody, synthesizer-driven sound that exploded in popularity in the wake of the cult thriller Drive and especially its enormously influential retro-1980s inspired soundtrack. But the new musical direction required a lot of adjustment from both men. “Up until then I’d been moving in more traditional pop circles,”recalls McEwan, “and I really had to unlearn those tendencies.” The result is a listening experience that evokes in the listener Proustian sense memories of first loves and afternoons on the couch playing 8-bit video games while simultaneously feeling downright cinematic. In a genre sometimes derided for trafficking in easy nostalgia, The Midnight eschews putting air quotes around the DX7 solo of a 1980s radio hit in favor of washing over listeners and making them feel like they’re standing on a rainy street under neon inside a Michael Mann or a Tony Scott movie. Despite its often heady and heavy themes, Syndicate ends up being less about endings and more of a journey toward an unknown destination. Lyle frames it simply: “Everything is ending, so let’s get started now.”

For the last decade, In Her Own Words have quietly become one of the most beloved and consistent voices in modern pop punk, building a dedicated fanbase through brutally honest songwriting, massive singalong choruses, and the kind of emotional connection that only comes from lived experience. In 2026, the band celebrates the 10 year anniversary of their breakthrough album Unfamiliar, the record that helped define a generation of emotionally charged pop-punk and introduced fans to songs that still hit just as hard today. From bedroom speakers to packed clubs around the world, Unfamiliar became more than just an album. It became a soundtrack for growing up, falling apart, and figuring yourself out along the way. To celebrate the milestone, the band will be performing Unfamiliar in full on a special anniversary co-headline tour alongside longtime scene favorites Every Avenue. Bringing together two bands whose songs helped shape the soundtrack of the late 2000s and 2010s emo and pop punk scene, the tour is designed as both a nostalgic celebration and a reminder of why these songs continue to resonate with fans years later. While the anniversary tour celebrates the album that changed everything for the band, In Her Own Words aren’t simply revisiting the past. Behind the scenes, the band has spent the last year working on a brand new full-length album, one they describe as their most ambitious and emotionally honest material to date. With new music expected in 2026, this tour marks both a celebration of where the band came from and the beginning of an entirely new chapter. ---- Every Avenue is a Michigan-born alternative rock/pop punk band known for the nostalgic anthems that helped define the late-2000s Warped Tour era. After multiple years performing on Warped Tour and worldwide touring alongside Boys Like Girls, The Summer Set, New Found Glory, Secondhand Serenade, and Yellowcard. The band built a loyal international following through fan-favorite tracks like “Tell Me I’m a Wreck” and “Mindset.” Now returning with renewed momentum, Every Avenue is making their official comeback in 2026 with plans to release new music and launch a six-week U.S. legacy tour alongside In Her Own Words — bringing the energy, emotion, and nostalgia of the golden pop punk era back to stages across the country. ---- Public Works came ripping out of New Jersey this past year. After years of releasing music and content under different names and genres, Public Works fell back into his roots. His single “Long Island” took the internet by storm and launched his name around the world overnight. Public Works has not slowed down since, releasing a song a month, along with a 5 track EP titled, “Pocket Knife” in June 2025. His shows are.. let’s just say eccentric. After his first run of shows in the north east in April of 2025, Public Works found a new obsession in connecting with fans through performing. As singer, guitarist, and master storyteller Claudio Sanchez began plotting out the sci-fi-inspired New York prog legends’ latest, The Father of Make Believe, he found himself writing more directly about his life and, especially, his career. Amid the wailing guitars, cracking drums, and Sanchez’ powerful voice — centering listeners throughout moments placid and pinwheeling — Coheed devotees will still find plenty of character work and references to the lore. But if you’re new here, there’s no homework required to feel our host’s hopes, fears, battles, and triumphs. Of course, you may get drawn in anyway. Coheed — which includes Travis Stever (lead guitar), Josh Eppard (drums), and Zach Cooper (bass) — emerged in the early 2000s wedged between an emo renaissance and a metal revival. While their peers broke hearts and banged heads, they crafted Game of Thrones-level fantasies around their Amory Wars storyline, which unfurls across 78 planets known as Heaven’s Fence. Eight of the band’s albums thus far (plus a small galaxy of comics and novels) live in this space and so does The Father of Make Believe. It’s just that the sky is cracking, revealing the hand behind the scene. In the past, says Sanchez, “I’ve kept the struggles of my life private. When I can’t express myself in words, I express in worlds.” And yet, as he assumes the role of main character, Coheed are yet again finding new ways to bring us into their universe.

For two decades, Pokey LaFarge has walked his own effortlessly cool road as an exceptionally iconoclastic troubadour – forthright, genuine, and markedly keen to put it all out there. Rent Money now sees him pushing forward yet again in what can be safely declared his finest collection to date, both as an heartfelt expression of personal experience and as no-nonsense social commentary. With its twanging guitars, plucky rhythms, and undeniably captivating melodies, the album soars and swings, its joyous refrains belying the inescapable undercurrent of constant worry and angst that permeates these troubled times. As always, the Illinois native deftly traverses the genre boundaries, seamlessly integrating the myriad strains of 20th-century American music with a freewheeling command of earnest songcraft, inspired performance, and subversive creativity. Rent Money stands tall as an indisputable high-water mark for Pokey LaFarge – a defining collection from a one-of-a-kind artist of rare ingenuity and uncommon candor, now as ever, determinedly crafting a sure-footed brand of deeply human music all his own. “People are always going to tell you what they think you should play,” says Pokey LaFarge, “what you should sing about, how you should sound, how you should look, how you should act. And I’ve always just been like, nah. Nope. I’ve just completely gone my own way, and hopefully I’ve been honest and authentic in the process. “I’m just trying to make music that AI can’t replicate. A noise that gets louder everyday, and is never quite the same with each iteration. Amassing over 400,000 listeners over the last decade, collaborating with Adrian Young and Todd Foreman of No Doubt and Sublime respectively, performing alongside the Dresden Dolls, and independently assembling a 48 show, six week tour of house shows for over 3000 ravenous attendees (hosted by equally ravenous fans themselves), Johnny Manchild has broken down every conventional method in this pursuit of creating and exposing his music. With five albums under his belt, and his new self-produced album, “Side Effects” slated for 2026, Johnny Manchild has shown no sides of resting until the noise subsides; though the odds of that happening anytime soon are growing smaller everyday. FRIEND OF A FRIEND Friend of a Friend formed in the summer of 2020 after a lifetime just missing each other. Since their 2022 debut release, they’ve toured relentlessly throughout Europe and North America. FOAF has released 3 records in the last 3 years, been featured in SPIN Magazine, named an artist to watch by Rolling Stone, an “American Visionary Duo” by Mesmerized, an “indie rock band taking the scene by storm" by Wonderland Magazine. KARMA AND THE KILLJOYS Karma and the Killjoys is classical piano turned rock band. Loud key-smashing chords dueling with gritty electric guitar, powerful, raw female voices and a thick chorus of harmonies is the strange and compelling concoction the band calls piano-rock. Ever pushing the bounds of what that means, Karma and the Killjoys expand their musicality with every song, both embracing and defying the genre–and therefore defining it. Karma and the Killjoys is Rain Scott-Catoire (piano, vocals, songwriting), Sydni Myers (vocals, songwriting), Thomas Vercher (drums), and Tim Marchand (guitar).

Hailing from the quaint town of Rigby, Idaho, Anyone Awake is an Alternative Indie band that’s breaking through geographic boundaries and turning heads wherever they play. Formed in late 2022 by high school sophomores and lifelong friends Cassius Coleman and Sam Butterfield, this group of young musicians has already begun to make waves with their electrifying performances and raw, emotive sound. Their debut release, Point It Out, recorded live at Make It Now! Productions, showcased their unpolished, heartfelt approach to music. The band quickly expanded, with the addition of Rylan Sager on lead guitar and Seth Chamberlain on drums, amplifying their energy and creating a dynamic soundscape that audiences can’t help but connect with. While their hometown may be small, Anyone Awake’s ambition is anything but. In just a short time, they’ve moved from local gigs to stages in Los Angeles, all while building a dedicated fanbase with their captivating live shows. Every performance is fueled by their passion for connecting with audiences through music that blends heartfelt lyrics and unforgettable hooks. At just thirteen, Cassius began writing the band’s debut LP, Bushel and a Peck, released October 25th, 2024. The album is deeply personal, inspired by the love story of Cassius’ grandparents, weaving their journey into a touching, melodic narrative. Even more impressive, he recorded this album at just 16 years old, demonstrating a musical depth and maturity that far exceeds his years. The album represents a leap forward for the band, with professional production that enhances every element of their already distinctive sound. Their first single, “Pluto/Charon,” is already streaming on all major platforms, with their second single, “I Think So,” gaining more than 25,000 streams within 3 weeks of its release. In a matter of days, Anyone Awake has seen their social media following skyrocket by over 30,000 followers, driven by their quirky and authentic online presence – including the viral success of lead guitarist Rylan Sager’s extra toe, lovingly dubbed ‘Toeby,’ which has even inspired a line of merch. With Bushel and a Peck on the charts and a rapidly growing fanbase, Anyone Awake is primed to make their mark on the indie music scene. Their blend of youthful energy, undeniable talent, and a sound that transcends their small-town origins makes them a band on the rise. Driven by the belief that even when you’re awake, you should never stop dreaming, they continue to transform ambition into action, proving that big dreams aren’t just meant to be chased—they’re meant to be lived, one performance at a time.

Bodies drift. Memories fragment. Signals distort. Gravity fails. But even after 30 years, the hugely influential trio of Ken Andrews, Greg Edwards, and Kelli Scott are still following the sound wherever it leads, even when it’s uncomfortable, unfamiliar, or disruptive. Location Lost, the band’s seventh album and their fourth since improbably reuniting in 2014 after a 17-year-hiatus, doesn’t arrive as a victory lap or a nostalgia exercise. Instead, it sounds like a band actively negotiating where — and who — they are now. “It’s very different,” Edwards says plainly of the nine-song follow-up to 2021’s Wild Type Droid. “There are sounds and parts that really don’t have any precedence within the Failure world.” That sense of divergence is inseparable from how Location Lost came together. Following Wild Type Droid, Failure completed a long-gestating documentary (Every Time You Lose Your Mind) and concert film (We Are Hallucinations) that chronicled their history, drug-marred breakup, and improbable second life playing for a newfound younger and more diverse audience. Almost immediately after finishing the film, Andrews suffered a serious back injury that required surgery. The operation was technically successful; the recovery was not. “It kind of messed up my brain chemistry somehow,” he says. “It wasn’t just physical recovery.” By late 2024, Failure were finally able to begin recording in earnest. As with Wild Type Droid, Andrews, Edwards, and Scott rented a studio and spent weeks improvising together as a trio, recording hours of unfiltered material without overthinking where it might lead. When Andrews took the sessions back to his L.A. home studio and began shaping them into songs, something unexpected happened. “I had a burst of creativity—especially lyrically. Since we rebooted, Greg’s been the more dominant lyrical force. That completely flipped on this record,” but not before Edwards suggested the song “Location Lost” also serve as the album’s title. “It resonated with me immediately, because at the beginning of making the record, I was lost,” Andrews says. “I lost my tether of love for the band. By the time we finished it, I felt totally reconnected.” Throughout, Location Lost delivers dose after dose of Andrews, Edwards and Scott’s utterly unique creative and instrumental interplay, from the warning bell-like guitar chimes on propulsive opener “Crash Test Delayed,” to the elastic, bass-driven groove of “Halo and Grain” and the grinding, methodical wall of sound on “Solid State,” which wouldn’t have sounded out of place on 1996’s all-time-classic Fantastic Planet. Three decades after Fantastic Planet, Failure is not attempting to relive the past. They’re still improvising, still arguing, still trusting one another enough to risk uncertainty. And while Location Lost doesn’t pretend to offer easy answers, it documents a band in motion, untethered and searching — and, against all odds, still very much alive.

Their main influences at that time were Gene Vincent and the Blue Capsand The Velvet Underground. Their goal was to rock harder than any other acoustic act on the planet. After being rejected for an audition by a local nightclub, the Femmes set up outside a Pretenders gig and began to play. Pretenders’ lead singer Chrissie Hynde asked them to open that night’s show, which gave the young band a publicity boost and caught theattention of Richard Hell, who invited the Femmes to open for him in NYC. A rave review in the New York Times eventually led to a record deal, which in turn spawned worldwide touring. Violent Femmes eponymous debut album became the first and only album in Billboard history to enter the charts with a platinum certification-eight years after its release. Over the ensuing three decades, the Femmes became a mainstay of festivals, clubs, and theaters in more than 20 countries worldwide. MTV’s “Unplugged” show was inspired by the Femmes, although they never actually appeared on it.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Becky Robinson is an LA-based comedian, writer, actor, and voice-over star that has gone from viral sensation to a sold-out theater act. You may also know her as the “Entitled Housewife”, the outspoken viral golf character Becky created who co-starred in the two virtual comedy variety specials she self-produced to help spread laughter during the yearlong pandemic. Becky’s explosively unique character antics and viral videos have racked up millions of views across social media and garnered fans across the country (and the country clubs!). In 2022, she released the original song ‘Mama Needs a Claw’ that can be heard on the radio or any major streaming service. Today, the comedian is on her highly anticipated The Beasts In Me Tour. She continues to sell-out around the world with her relatable comedy.

Released in God’s year of 2026, the 250th anniversary of the founding of America in Kurt Vile’s fine city of Philadelphia, Philadelphia’s been good to me finds one of our nation’s greatest songwriters staking a claim on his hometown. “This is my ‘bringing it all back home to Philly’ record,” Vile says. “I’m treating it like my last one. I put everything into it. It’s my best vocal record. It’s my best electric guitar record. It’s my most organic record, made in the comfort of my own zone.” Largely self-produced, with assists from Adam Langellotti, keys wiz Matthew Jugenheimer, drummer Kyle Spence, guitarist Jesse Trbovrich, and longtime Violators boardsman Rob Schnapf, the record embodies Vile’s understanding of music as a conversation between people across time and space. The title track is an ode to his hometown that doubles as an homage to Tom Petty’s homage to California. The barn-burning “Chance to Bleed” features guest spots from Memphis OGs Natalie Hoffman and Greg Cartwright but boasts a music video proudly shot at the Philly venue Kung Fu Necktime and features a cameo by local legend Schoolly D. “You Don’t Know Cuz It’s My Life” is Kurt’s take on a stadium anthem, building up to a laid-back yet triumphant chant of “I’m from Phil-a-del-phiaaaaaaah!” that you can imagine a crowd of Eagles fans screaming along to, Twisted Teas pointed towards the heavens. Make no mistake: Philadelphia’s been good to me is the sound of Philly’s constant hitmaker coming back to kick ass, son the haters, and put on for the City of Brotherly Love — and in true Kurt Vile fashion, doing so while sounding more relaxed than ever. Between the 250th anniversary of America and its hosting of select World Cup games, 2026 is shaping up to be a big deal for Philadelphia. “And then there’s one other thing,” Vile says. “I gotta be that third thing. Because I am Philadelphia. I gotta own it. I gotta rise to the occasion.”

Over the past 20+ years, The New Pornographers have proven themselves one of the most excellent bands in indie rock. They have released nine studio albums, including their classic debut Mass Romantic and their latest 2023’s Continue as a Guest. The band’s new album The Former Site Of will be out via Merge Records on 3/27/26 and new single “Votive” is out now. They’ve constantly offered new sonic surprises with every album, and have established themselves alongside modern luminaries like Yo La Tengo and Superchunk when it comes to their ability to evolve while still retaining what made them so special in the first place. Of the 2023 record, New York Magazine lauded, “The New Pornographers are a massive unit bursting with unique and intersecting talents…the band’s ninth album serves another helping of their signature dish.”Critical acclaim for The New Pornographers:“Over the course of their 20-plus-year career, the New Pornographers have often specialized in catchy ambiguity. If leader Carl Newman was just a machine cranking out power-pop tunes, it would get boring. But there’s also a lot of mixed emotions going on under the surface of their studiously nuanced pop-rock formalism—like if Cheap Trick was as quick-witted as Steely Dan, or the Romantics were as thoughtful as R.E.M.”- Rolling Stone“Pure, blissfully irresistible power pop”- NPR Music“[The New Pornographers] make catchy, sophisticated alternate-universe hits.”- Stereogum

Occupational Hazard by Unsane returns in a newly remastered edition reviving a pivotal moment in the band’s history where abrasive, heavy sound collided with elements of punk, metal, and industrial music. Originally released in January 1998 through Relapse Records, the album’s reissue arrives on Friday, February 4, 2026 viathe band’s own imprint label Lamb Unlimited, revisiting a defining chapter in the group’s evolution. Sonically, the record is noted for its aggressively distorted guitars, driving basslines, andpounding drums – hallmarks of the band’s uncompromising noise rock style. In preparation for the album, the band first recorded a six-song demo session at AmRep Studios in Minneapolis, MN. Shortly after, Unsane relocated to Excello Studios in Brooklyn, NY, where they tracked the album with engineer Billy Anderson. Frontman Chris Spencer (guitar, vocals) recalls the period: “The writing process for Occupational Hazard was great. I think the one real defining factor to this very creatively rewarding period of time in our career was that we knew what we were doing in terms of songwriting, and we were able to take our time while constantly playing.” Following the recording sessions, Occupational Hazard was mixed by legendary producer and Barkmarket guitarist David Sardy. Reflecting on the collaboration, Spencer adds: “I’ve always liked what he did with his own band and in the studio, and I thought that it would work well for what we were doing. Dave also had access to a really good studio in Midtown Manhattan, so we decided to take advantage of his great production work and that space. We had been offered a three-record deal with Relapse Records and figured that would be the best thing to do, considering we wanted to tour constantly.” Shortly before the album’s original release, during a European press tour, Spencer was brutally attacked by street thugs in Vienna, Austria, and left for dead. He returned to touring after emergency surgery, though the incident significantly disrupted the album’s original touring cycle. Now, more than two decades later, the entire album has been newly remastered by longtime Unsane collaborator and engineer Andrew Schneider. All formats will include an extra track, “No Soul,” originally released via Frank Kozik’s now-defunct, infamous Man’s Ruin label as a vinyl-only limited edition. Additionally, the band will release the original six-song demo session recorded at AmRep Studios in Minneapolis, MN. This previously unreleased material will be included in the digital download format and will also be made available for streaming and download. Despite its cult status, the band had never performed Occupational Hazard in its entirety– until a newly announced, one-time-only special performance at the Roadburn Festival in April 2026. In addition to this exclusive appearance, Unsane will embark on a full EU/UK headline tour, running from March 13 to April 19, 2026.

VIP-exclusive tour poster, signed by the band Specially designed Deer Tick tote bag Commemorative VIP laminate and lanyard Merchandise shopping prior to doors opening to the public Early entry to the venue The ninth studio album from Deer Tick, Coin-O-Matic casts a bright light on a little-known facet of the American mythos: the hidden histories of the band’s home state of Rhode Island, where the everyday dramas of working-class families long collided with the menace of the mafia underworld. As they tapped into their infinite fascination with that strange duality, singer/guitarist John McCauley, guitarist/singer Ian O’Neil, drummer/singer Dennis Ryan, and bassist Christopher Ryan assembled a batch of songs exploring desperation, grief, redemption, and resilience with both cinematic detail and lived-in emotionality. A sharp new turn from one of indie-rock’s most enduringly vital forces, Coin-O-Matic arrives as a complicated love letter to a way of life slowly slipping from the collective memory. The follow-up to Emotional Contracts (hailed by Uncut as one of 2023’s best albums), Coin-O-Matic takes its title from a cigarette-vending-machine company that served as the headquarters of Raymond Patriarca—a legendary mobster who ran one of the most ruthless crime families in U.S. history. “If you grew up in Rhode Island years ago, you’d see all these mobsters on the news and then run into them at a restaurant on Federal Hill,” says McCauley, referring to Providence’s version of Little Italy. “They were criminals but also very colorful characters, and I wanted the album to partly reflect a certain nostalgia for that kind of seediness.” In its soulful contemplation of recklessness and consequence, longing and devotion, Coin-O-Matic ultimately joins the canon of rock albums whose geographically rooted storytelling reveals deeper truths about the human experience. “I think there’s something universal in stories of regret and loss and poor decisions, even if they’re told through the lens of all the odd characters in this little state of ours,” O’Neil points out. “One of the reasons I wanted us to make this album is that I think Rhode Island deserves to be a contender for a place that people sing about,” McCauley adds. “Sonically there’s nothing country about it, but to me it almost feels like a country record set in an urban environment—there’s definitely some outlaws in there. I hope that people see themselves in it, and that they understand a little more about the place that we come from.”

Afie Jurvanen does not spend too much time in cities these days. For nearly two decades, Jurvanen was a fixture of the Toronto scene, both as a valued multi-instrumentalist and producer for friends like Feist, The Weather Station, and Kathleen Edwards and as the architect of one of his country’s most celebrated artists, Bahamas. Jurvanen came of age across Bahamas’ first six albums, the restlessness of jumpy early hits like Pink Strat and Barchords slowly shifting into the generous domesticity of 2023’s Bootcut. But Jurvanen has long been drawn to open spaces, to a quieter life. In 2009, the year of his aforementioned debut, he began visiting Nova Scotia, the Atlantic Ocean. Over the next decade, his trips became more consistent, then more frequent, and then longer, until, in 2019, Jurvanen and his family of four finally made the move—nearly 2,000 kilometers northeast, to Nova Scotia. They live a lifestyle, Jurvanen half-jokes, that is “close to Mennonite.” The kids are homeschooled. No one has an iPad. Text messages can feel like miracles. Despite his extended résumé, Jurvanen has never been much of a tech guy or studio hound, never one for making his own records. In 2021, however, producer and multi-instrumentalist Joshua Van Tassel had also left Toronto, moving back to Nova Scotia and building a little studio, called DreamDate, in a backyard shed there. It was just small enough to skirt inspections, just big enough to house everything. Jurvanen had once rented Van Tassel’s space back in Toronto to listen to his Earthtones album on someone else’s speakers, to decide if it was ready for release. He’d been impressed by the place’s minimalism and tidiness, by the studio rarity of everything working. So Jurvanen began driving the 20 minutes from his cottage to Van Tassel’s spot via a winding ocean road, passing his days hanging out with his local friend and recording some songs. There was no real agenda but to work and play. And that’s how two people in a little shed made what may be the most effortlessly magnetic record in the entire Bahamas catalogue, My Second Last Album. Van Tassel and Jurvanen played every sound on My Second Last Album, from the buzzing acoustics of “Shadows” to the Mellotron ostinato of “Play the Game.” This self-dependence allowed them to do anything they wanted, to follow musical enthusiasms into any space they favored. Jurvanen wrote “The Bridge” via text with Hiss Golden Messenger’s M.C. Taylor, and he and Van Tassel turned it into an infectious country-funk tune, the strutting refrain closing the gap between Little Feat and Canned Heat. There is charging indie rock, hazy piano, and pastoral folk-rock. Again, My Second Last Album is anything Van Tassel and Jurvanen wanted it to be. For a long time, Jurvanen didn’t know what to do with My Second Last Album. After cutting a legitimate country record in the city where the genre lives, was it a too-weird left turn to put out a loose-limbed indie-pop set cut in a shed? He thought about slicing it into singles or splicing it as a bonus onto some sort of future Bahamas compendium, maybe even shelving it altogether. But then he put the record back on after not hearing it for several months and had the simplest and most profound realization possible: He loved these songs, the way they sat together, the story they told about who he was at that moment—a married father content to live in the country alongside the very ocean where he surfs, a musician who often goes to his buddy’s house to casually make some music. It became My Second Last Album, one of Bahamas’ truly indispensable works.

“Here’s to life!” Fans around the world can be found singing the chorus of the Roger Clyne-penned fan favorite “Mekong” and toasting their glasses in unison to celebrate life through rock-n-roll. But the inspiration for the song dates back to the time Roger went to Taipei, Taiwan, as a college student to teach English during the day and busk with his guitar at night for money. Today, as Clyne prepares to release his 11th studio album, he continues to transform his life experiences, inspirations, observations and his own muses into timeless music. And whether he’s wearing his Converse high tops, boots or sandals, Clyne’s blend of punk rock, americana, indie-pop and mariachi influences have made him, drummer PH Naffah, guitarist Jim Dalton and bassist Nick Scropos – collectively known as Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers – one of America’s best live rock-n-roll bands. Starting with the seminal Tempe quartet, The Refreshments, Clyne and Naffah put the fun in rock & roll during the 90s grunge era with a sense of humor. They also started what would become a trademark sound on all future albums by adding mariachi horns, something Clyne was influenced by while in college studying Cultural Anthropology with an ethnography study of mariachis during a three month Spanish-immersion stay with a local family in Ensenada, Mexico. The Refreshments’ debut album, “Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big & Buzzy,” became a cult classic. Changes within their record label and internal band issues resulted in Clyne and Naffah going on a vision quest of sorts in the Whetstone Mountains near the Clyne Ranch in Southeastern Arizona. It was there that Clyne found inspiration in the rolling hills and the jukeboxes of small town taverns that still played Marty Robbins and Johnny Cash – music he had shed from his youth in favor of bands like Camper Van Beethoven & They Might Be Giants. But after reconnecting with those old country records, Clyne and Naffah wrote and recorded under a new moniker what would become Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers’ debut album, “Honky Tonk Union.” The album was the perfect combination of classic rock and twang, and fans immediately connected with it. Their independent release, “Honky Tonk Union,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Internet Album Sales chart in 1999 prompting a call from a Billboard exec to their Manager demanding, “Who the hell is Roger Clyne and why is he #1 on my chart?!” beating out much better known artists that week like Santana, Creed, Nine Inch Nails, Melissa Ethridge and 311. RCPM released eight more albums that landed in the top ten of Billboard’s Internet Album Sales chart, including a No.1 debut for their third album, “¡Americano!” – all without the backing of a major record label and while flying under the radar of commercial radio. Currently, they just finished their next album, “Hell to Breakfast.” The first single hit streaming on November 21st, 2025, the second single will drop Jan 9th, 2026 and the album launches March 6th, 2026. Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers have toured all over the US and achieved a faithful following through hard work and great music. They have done this all while being independent, without the safety net of a label or a label’s radio promotion department. Dubbed “The Springsteen of the Southwest,” by the Asbury Park Press the band delivers exciting live performances that garner declarations like the one from emcee Jay Peterman of the Seinfeld TV show at Alice Cooper’s annual Christmas Pudding event, “Young man, you light that stage a-flame!”
