Blackbird Rock Co. is an educational performing rock band and the first of its kind at SNJ Studio of Music. Founded in 2021 by its director Emily Boganowski and studio owner Sharon North Jones, BRC caters to musicians grades 8-12 who are interested in performing music in a realistic band setting. Since its creation, BRC has played all over Omaha, including venues such as Turner Park, Gene Leahy Mall, The Down Under, The Douglas County Fair, The Berkley, The B. Bar, and more. It is Blackbird Rock Co.’s mission to provide students with an authentic and educational rock band experience and encourage the celebration of rock music through the ages.
